  • JACL Adventure Creation Language 2.2 (Default branch) Screenshot JACL is an interpreted language for creating interactive fiction (text adventure games). Using a variety of Glk libraries, JACL has cross-platform support for graphics and sound. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: New route-finding commands have been added that determine a path from one location to another. The function +sound_finished is now called whenever a sound stops playing, and the current volumes of all sound channels are now exposed to JACL code through an array. Several other minor bugfixes have been made, as well as improvements to the manual.
  • Instantbird 0.1.2 (Default branch) Instantbird is a multi-protocol instant messaging client. Using it, you can connect to all your different IM accounts. It uses the Mozilla rendering engine to display messages, and uses the Pidgin libpurple to connect to the different networks. License: GNU General Public License v2 Changes: This version is more a stability/bugfix release than a feature release. It is based on libpurple 2.4.3 and Mozilla 1.9.0.1. It is more stable (outstanding bugs resulting in crashes were fixed). Breakpad has been turned on to get more data on crashes. The tooltips of the buddy list now contain detailed information. Most of the time was spent on the build system. Instantbird can now be built like any other Mozilla application. For developers, it will now be easy to play with the code, and users may notice that the downloads are smaller.
  • Augeas 0.3.0 (Default branch) Augeas is a configuration API and editing tool. It parses common configuration files like /etc/hosts or /etc/grub.conf in their native formats and transforms them into a tree. Configuration changes are made by manipulating this tree and saving it back into native configuration files. License: GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL) Changes: This release adds a call for moving subtrees to the public API. There are new lenses for logrotate, ntp.conf, apt preferences, php.ini, and Big Brother config. There are various bugfixes.
  • WebGUI 7.5.19 (Default branch) Screenshot WebGUI is a content management framework built to allow average business users to build and maintain complex Web sites. It is modular, pluggable, and platform independent. It was designed to allow the people who create the content to manage it online, rather than content management taking up the time of busy IT staff. WebGUI comes with a full host of features including shopping cart, subscriptions, forums, photo galleries, FAQs, link lists, blogs, SQL reports, a Web services interface, and a very configurable user privilege and profiling system. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: This release includes numerous fixes to the Shop and EMS, and a number of fixes in the Forms and other core functions.
  • diggZ-Et 1.1.8 (Default branch) diggZ-Et is a WordPress plugin for displaying Digg It buttons. Its admin settings allow you to customize everything including the skin type. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: You can now choose the maximum number of characters for auto summary: 150, 250, or 350.
  • Euro Keyboard 08082008 (Default branch) Screenshot Euro Keyboard is a multilanguage on-screen keyboard for PocketPC (Windows Mobile). License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: A bug with long delays on changing layouts in WM 6.0 has been fixed.
  • Crossroads Load Balancer 2.00 (Default branch) Screenshot Crossroads is a daemon running in user space, and features extensive configurability, polling of back ends using wake up calls, status reporting, many algorithms to select the 'right' back end for a request (and user-defined algorithms for very special cases), and much more. Crossroads is service-independent: it is usable for any TCP service, such as HTTP(S), SSH, SMTP, and database connections. In the case of HTTP balancing, Crossroads can provide session stickiness for back end processes that need sessions, but aren't session-aware of other back ends. Crossroads can be run as a stand-alone daemon or via inetd. License: GNU General Public License v3 Changes: This version is a complete rewrite. It is now a multi-threaded program (as opposed to a forking daemon), which greatly enhances performance and decreases system load. The balancer is now configured via the command line (as opposed to a configuration file). This version is beta code until proven in the field. Historic stable 1.xx versions are still available.
  • Mixxx 1.6.0 (Default branch) Screenshot Mixxx is a digital DJ system where wave, Ogg, and MP3 files can be mixed on a computer for use in live performances. Filters, a crossfader, and speed controls are provided. Support for various hardware control methods such as MIDI controllers and vinyl control are also included. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: An enormous update. The main new features are vinyl control, better hardware support, better BPM detection, better equalizers, and a better user interface.
  • Hocuspocus 1.0 (Default branch) Screenshot Hocuspocus is a small and extensible Web server for controlling key Linux applications running on a machine remotely via a Web server. This means you can adjust things like system volume from any browser, including a WiFi enabled PDA such as the iPhone. Multiple such machines can be controlled via a single service manager, which acts as a proxy for the individual Web servers. License: GNU General Public License v3 Changes: This version adds a user controllable refresh mechanism for many plugins, and adds a viewer plugin for various system settings.
  • JumpBox for Cacti 1.1.1 (Default branch) Screenshot Cacti is a complete network graphing solution designed to harness the power of RRDTool's data storage and graphing functionality. The JumpBox for Cacti allows you to be up and running with Cacti in under a minute on any OS that supports virtualization. License: Free To Use But Restricted Changes: The version of the included application has not changed, but the JumpBox has been updated to fix a vulnerability in PHP.
  • kexec-loader 1.5 (Default branch) Screenshot kexec-loader is a Linux-based bootloader that aims to fit on a floppy and have a grub-like interface and configuration system. It loads kernels using the kexec system calls. License: BSD License (revised) Changes: Support for loading kernel modules has been added.
  • LanguageTool 0.9.3 (Default branch) LanguageTool is a style and grammar checker that currently supports English, Polish, German, French, Dutch, and other languages to a different degree. It scans the words and their part-of-speech tags for occurrences of error patterns, which are defined in an XML file. More powerful error rules can be written in Java. LanguageTool should be used after the spelling of a text has been corrected. License: GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL) Changes: This release adds support for the new grammar checking API in OpenOffice.org 3.0 beta: it now displays blue wavy lines for errors automatically, and a context menu with suggestions. It also adds initial support for Russian and improves rules for Dutch, English, Polish, Swedish, and German. Note that this release only works with a recent beta of OpenOffice.org 3.0.
  • Tunguska 0.4 (Default branch) Screenshot Tunguska is a computer emulator and virtual machine that uses numerical base three (ternary) number system for its lowest-level operations instead of the commonly used base two (binary) number system. Its goal is to provide a useful experimental platform, on par with early personal computers. License: GNU General Public License v2 Changes: Support for including files in the assembler, runtime floppy loading/unloading, and AGDP support for system time. If you are upgrading, please make sure to read memory_image/README for an update on the changes in the memory image assembly procedure.
  • Tango 0.99.7 (Default branch) Tango is a D library that provides a runtime for the D programming language, plus many additional library features for the D programmer. License: Academic Free License (AFL) Changes: A new container package, a couple of new modules, and several cleanup changes, including some breaking. Updated for DMD 1.033.
  • Amahi Linux Home Server 8.18 (Default branch) Screenshot The Amahi Home Server is a Linux Home Server based on Fedora (and later on Ubuntu). Your machine becomes a "Home Digital Assistant" or HDA after the installation. Each HDA is a Fedora-based server targeted for home and home office environments. It provides an iTunes server, calendaring, a wiki, shared network storage, network backups, a printer server, VPN, and a plug-in architecture built on Ruby on Rails. License: GNU General Public License v2 Changes: A new dynamic DNS system is included that is fully automatic with no need for configuration files. A major new version of the installer brings an easier install process, with more reliable package installation, as well as much more user friendly messages during the process.
  • peekabot 0.5.1 (Default branch) Screenshot peekabot is a versatile 3D visualization tool targeted at robotics researchers and developers. It's multi-platform, general purpose, easily extendable, scalable, and does not depend on any other frameworks to function. It also provides some functionality for interacting with your robots using the GUI. You can test your algorithms in both simulated and real environments. The only requirement is that the device can use TCP/IP. License: Boost Software License Changes: This release fixes a serious regression that caused loading of models to fail at random (and quite often).
  • CppSpec 0.4 (Default branch) CppSpec is a behavior-driven development (BDD) framework for C++. It provides a framework for writing specifications of how your software should behave. License: The Apache License 2.0 Changes: Greatly improved messages for failures. A CUTE logger for usage with the CUTE Eclipse plugin. Specification execution time measurements have been improved. Build fixes for Visual C++. install and CPack targets to enable the make install target and creation of binary distribution packages. Bugfixes.
  • SWF & FLV Player for Mac 3.7.16 (Default branch) SWF & FLV Player for Mac is a free and smart Flash movie player. It provides handy movie controls that let you play, rewind, fast-forward, and play back movie files frame-by-frame. SWF & FLV Player will browse any Web addresses to discover and save all SWF files it uses. If any SWF file requires external resources (such as other SWF or FLV files or images), SWF & FLV Player will inform you about it and offer to download all the external resources required as well. SWF & FLV Player also lets you create and manage playlists. License: Freeware Changes: A new version of Flash'In'App is used (1.1). Several engine enhancements were made. A minor bug in detection of FLV size (weight, height) was fixed. Several fixes were made in the "Download online Flash movies" feature.
  • SimpleDC++ 0.0.9.2 (Default branch) Screenshot SimpleDC++ is a client for DC++ networks that supports multi-threaded downloading.
  • MQSSave 1.3.1-1 (Default branch) MQSSave is a simple Java program that saves messages read from an MQSeries queue to a file.
  • UMIT 0.9.5 (Default branch) Screenshot UMIT is a network scanning frontend meant to be very useful for advanced users and easy to use for newbies. A network admin can create scan profiles for faster and easier network scanning, and can compare scan results to see any changes easily. A regular user will also be able to construct powerful scans with UMIT command creator wizards. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: Many bugfixes and usability improvements. This release has a Mac OS X port at MacPorts. There are other minor improvements.
  • Ctpp 1.0.40 (Default branch) Ctpp is the C99-compatible C preprocessor of the Ctalk language, which provides object oriented extensions for C. It is compatible with GNU cpp and provides extensions like macro expansion in warning and error messages, saving expanded macros to files, and built-in symbol definition for many command line options. You can download the preprocessor separately while Ctalk is between versions for development. License: GNU General Public License v3 Changes: This release contains several performance improvements.
  • BitNami Alfresco Stack 2.9.0b (Default branch) BitNami Alfresco Stack is an easy-to-install distribution of the KnowledgeTree ECM software. It includes pre-configured, ready-to-run versions of Apache Tomcat, Java, MySQL, ImageMagick, and OpenOffice (optional), so users can get an Alfresco installation up and running in minutes after answering a few questions. Linux and Windows are currently supported. License: The Apache License 2.0 Changes: Alfresco has been updated to 2.9.0b.
  • JumpBox for MoinMoin 1.1.3 (Default branch) Screenshot JumpBox for MoinMoin is a virtual appliance that makes it possible to get the MoinMoin wiki system running in under a minute. It has built-in backup functionality and can be moved across operating systems and virtualization systems. License: Free To Use But Restricted Changes: The MoinMoin application has been updated to 1.7.1. Users should be able to restore from MoinMoin JumpBox 1.0 and newer backups. A long standing bug where backup validation failed if the configured backup server was inaccessible has been fixed. A security vulnerability in PHP was fixed.
  • UJO Framework 0.80.rc2 (Default branch) Screenshot UJO Framework offers a special architecture of beans different from conventional JavaBeans. The useful features are XML persistence of an object tree, controlled access to its attributes, easy collaboration with Swing tables, and very light weight. License: The Apache License 2.0 Changes: Some abstract implementations of the UjoExt interface were slightly improved for better type safe features. There is a new method to set columns to a UjoTableModel class. The methods of the UjoTextable interface were extended about the "context" parameter. The original methods are implemented in a SuperUjo class. The method of the UjoCloneable interface was extended about the "context" parameter.
  • Myrinix Debian LiveCD 2008-08 (KDE branch) Screenshot Myrinix Debian LiveCD is a bootable Linux live CD remastered from SIDUX/FLL. It contains more multimedia programs such as Kaffiene and Mplayer and is modular, allowing you to build and include application modules. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: KDE has been removed from the core module, so users can choose other desktop modules if they wish.
  • HTTP Anti Virus Proxy 0.89 (Default branch) HAVP (HTTP Anti Virus Proxy) is a proxy which scans downloads for viruses with several scanners (ClamAV, F-Prot, Kaspersky, NOD32, Sophos) at the same time. The main aims are continuous, non-blocking downloads and smooth scanning of dynamic and password protected HTTP traffic. It can be used with squid or standalone, and it also supports transparent proxy mode. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: A possible retry loop and hang has been fixed. The Via: header is always sent, which fixes some IIS problems (e.g. MSNBC).
  • rsyslog 2.0.6 (v2 Stable branch) Rsyslog is an enhanced multi-threaded syslogd. Among others, it offers support for on-demand disk buffering, reliable syslog over TCP, SSL, TLS, and RELP, writing to databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and many more), email alerting, fully configurable output formats (including high-precision timestamps), the ability to filter on any part of the syslog message, on-the-wire message compression, and the ability to convert text files to syslog. It is a drop-in replacement for stock syslogd and able to work with the same configuration file syntax. License: GNU General Public License v2 Changes: IPv6 addresses could not be specified in forwarding actions, because they contain colons and the colon character was already used for some other purpose. IPv6 addresses can now be specified inside of square brackets. This is a recommended update for all v2-stable branch users.
  • jIRCii 08.07.08 (Default branch) Screenshot jIRCii is a cross platform Internet Relay Chat client. It is fully scriptable using a Perl-like language called sleep. The focus is to provide a console client experience with the advantages of a solid GUI. It includes DCC/CTCP support, the ability to connect to SSL servers, and over 65 built-in commands. License: Artistic License Changes: This release fixes a memory leak with closed IRC sessions. It has been updated to the latest Sleep 2.1 library. This adds over 50 enhancements and fixes for scripters. Functions to get the width of a string and a window have been added. Windows now open maximized if the active window is maximized. The scripting documentation has been cleaned up.
  • auth2db 0.2.5-2 (Default branch) Screenshot auth2db parses auth.log files and inserts details about logins into a MySQL database. It allows you to display in the shell or in a Web front-end the date and time, IP, username, and service (ssh, smb, login, su, gdm, etc.) for each login. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: This release adds SQL injection and XSS control, Realtime Row Limit, and new filters. It has a minor fix in Advance View that increases performance. The updateipsshd function has been fixed to increase performance. The updateipsmbd function, which decreased performance, has been disabled.
  • Earnings Tracker 4.0 (Default branch) Screenshot Earnings Tracker is a Web-based accounting tool for UK contractors. Earnings Tracker lets contractors record invoice amounts, salaries, and expenses, and calculates the amount of VAT and corporation tax payable. The tool also generates dividend tax vouchers and calculates the contractor's retention rate. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: Dividend tax vouchers may now be generated, and individual columns can be shown or hidden in the main spreadsheet.

  • openBmap 1.0 (Default branch) Screenshot openBmap is a map of wireless communicating objects such as cellular antenna or Wi-Fi or Bluetooth devices. It provides tools to mutualize data, and to create and access this map.
  • SQL2XML 1.0.0 (Default branch) Sql2xml is a CGI program that lets you request a database query in XML or INI format through a Web server. Sql2xml supports requests from multiple users and for multiple databases.
  • Objectreferenceanalyser 2.31 (Default branch) Screenshot Objectrefenceanalyser is a framework that helps the user understand object/data correlations and their impact. It analyzes and traverses objects and their references during the runtime of any Java application using reflection or by importing data from a CSV-table. The results can be shared for remote access, persisted, or explored via diagrams and graphs in the GUI. License: GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL) Changes: This version extends the visual features as well as the functional framework. Several improvements in usability and look-and-feel were implemented. Certain small bugs were fixed. New features include the ability to import CSV data, which allows you to import any kind of table based data. Remote access can now be used to explore analyzer results remotely.
  • cdrtools 2.01.01a45 (Development branch) cdrtools (formerly cdrecord) creates home-burned CDs/DVDs with a CDR/CDRW/DVD recorder. It works as a burn engine for several applications. It supports CD/DVD recorders from many different vendors; all SCSI-3/mmc- and ATAPI/mmc-compliant drives should also work. Supported features include IDE/ATAPI, parallel port, and SCSI drives, audio CDs, data CDs, and mixed CDs, full multi-session support, CDRWs (rewritable), DVD-R/-RW, DVD+R/+RW, TAO, DAO, RAW, and human-readable error messages. cdrtools includes remote SCSI support and can access local or remote CD/DVD writers. License: Common Development and Distribution License (CDDL) Changes: A workaround was implemented for a GNU make design bug that prevented compilation on some Linux platforms. The minimal write speed of a ultraspeed CD-RW capable drive was reduced from 16x to 10x. Some mkisofs bugs in -stream-file mode were fixed.
  • Reverse Snowflake Joins 0.03 (Default branch) Reverse Snowflake Joins is a tool that parses SQL Select statements and generates a diagram. In addition to joins, the diagram shows parts of the underlying SQL directly in the diagram. For example x=30, GROUP BY (year), SUM(profit), HAVING MIN(age) > 18. License: BSD License (revised) Changes: End of line comments were added. For example, " ..x=2 -- comment". Now <>comparison apears correctly in diagrams. Previosuly, only < was shown.

  • rpmrebuild 2.2.3 (Default branch) Screenshot rpmrebuild is a tool to build an RPM file from a package that has already been installed. It can be used to easily build modified packages, and works on any Linux distribution that uses RPM. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: This release fixes a problem with the last Mandriva releases. A new Mandriva security measure on rpmbuild has to be bypassed.
  • Itzam 4.0.6 (Default branch) Itzam is an embedded database engine that creates and manipulates files containing keyed-access records. Information is referenced by a user-defined key value, and one or more indexes (hash, B-tree, or matrix) may be combined with or separated from data. Itzam is deliberately portable and designed as a foundation for other languages (C++, Python, and Java). License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: A tutorial program was added to demonstrate B-tree and hash index operations. The redundant btree_hash_read function was removed. A minor bug in B-tree cursors was fixed.
  • Python bsddb3 4.7.2 (Default branch) Python bsddb3 is a Python module that provides a nearly complete wrapping of the Oracle/Sleepycat C API for the database environment, database, cursor, sequence, and transaction objects, and each of these is exposed as a Python type in the bsddb3.db module. The database objects can use various access methods: btree, hash, recno, and queue. It has complete support for Berkeley DB distributed transactions and complete support for Berkeley DB Replication Manager. The goal is to mirror most of the real BerkeleyDB API. License: MIT/X Consortium License Changes: This is an interim release while working on a version compatible with future Python 3.0.
  • Jaikoz 2.5.1 (Default branch) Screenshot Jaikoz is a powerful tag editor that allows you to organize, edit, and correct thousands of audio tags with ease. Jaikoz has powerful automation features. Jaikoz uses MusicBrainz and MusicIP, online databases of over 5 million songs, which can match your songs automtically based on the actual music as well as the metadata. Jaikoz uses a convenient spreadsheet view to allow you to edit information very quickly and provides many autoformatting tasks which do most of the work for you. License: Other/Proprietary License with Free Trial Changes: The preferred musicbrainz country is now set for releases based on the locale of the computer. When track matches multiple releases identically, the release whose its total number of tracks matches the total number of tracks loaded into Jaikoz with the same release name is picked. A check is done to ensure that outgoing access to port 10001 is open and a warning is given if it isn't. This is required for Retrieve Acoustic Ids to work optimally.
  • F*EX 20080804 (Default branch) Screenshot F*EX (Frams' Fast File EXchange) is a Web based service to send very big files from one person to another. The sender uploads the file to the F*EX server and the recipient automatically gets a notification email with a download URL. The files will be automatically deleted after being downloaded or after an expiration date. The F*EX server itself is installed on a UNIX system, while the recipient and sender only need an email program and a Web browser of any kind on any operating system. Sending to multiple recipients needs storage on the server only once.
  • UDFclient 0.6.3 (Default branch) UDFclient is a userland implementation of the UDF filesystem as defined by the OSTA group. It is designed to be a study platform and a run-up to a full read and write (NetBSD) kernel level implementation. It provides a user interface not unlike ftp but differs in that it always fetches or writes files recursively. It supports the basic get, mget, put, mput, mv, rm, mkdir, cd, lcd, free, pwd, and lls command set. License: Artistic License Changes: A byteswapping option was implemented to allow udfclient to read and write PVR hard disks which appear to be byteswapped for some reason. Also, udfdump dumping was improved, making it handle big free space maps and allocation extensions and making cd_disect ATAPI happy again.
  • PowerDNS daemon 2.9.21.1 (Stable branch) PDNS is an advanced high performance authoritative nameserver with a host of backends. Besides plain BIND configuration files, PDNS reads information from MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL and many other databases. Backends can easily be written in any language, and a sample Perl backend is provided. PDNS powers http://express.powerdns.com, a Web-based DNS maintenance site, and the top level domain .TK. License: GNU General Public License (GPL) Changes: This releases fixes an issue relevant to security where PowerDNS did not answer certain questions. Not answering such questions, combined with new spoofing techniques, raised the general vulnerability of the DNS. This addresses CVE-2008-3337.
  • Pentabarf 0.3.14 (Default branch) Pentabarf is conference planning software written in Ruby (using the Rails framework) and PL/pgSQL. License: GNU General Public License v2 Changes: The pickup and arrived report from Pentabarf 0.2 have been added. Better JavaScript error checking has been added, which checks for mandatory fields before submitting. Bugs in the iCal generation and the atom feed have been fixed.
  • RESTClient 2.2a1 (Default branch) Screenshot RESTClient is a Java platform client application to test RESTful Web services. License: The Apache License 2.0 Changes: The HTTP library has been changed from Commons HTTP to Apache HTTP Client. A syntax highlighting text editor has been added. SSL certificate support has been added. HTTP version can be specified in requests. There are many UI changes for usability.
