- iTunes: Downloading iTunes for Windows using Internet Explorer If you use Windows Internet Explorer 7 or 8, when you download iTunes from www.apple.com/itunes/download/ you should see a File Download window appear after clicking the Download Now button: The File Download window will ask you to Run or Save the iTunes file you are downloading: If you do not see the File Download window, your Pop-up Blocker filter level may be set too high.
- Mac OS X versions (builds) included with Intel-based Macs Learn which versions of Mac OS X ship with Intel-based Macs. If you have a PowerPC-based Mac, see Mac OS: Versions, builds included with PowerPC Macs (since 1998) instead. Tips Some computers shipped with different Mac OS X versions at different times. When a computer is not bundled with a later version, a "-" appears in the "Later Mac OS included" column. The build information is available in the About This Mac window. Some Macs may include a slightly later build version (but same numbered version) of Mac OS X on the Install or Restore discs than was preinstalled on the computer. Do not use a Mac OS X version earlier than the one included with the computer.

- Mac OS X v10.6: iCal client shows incomplete free/busy information for Exchange invitees When iCal is configured to use a Microsoft Exchange server account, all busy times for invitees may not appear when viewing invitees' free/busy times in the Availability window. This may happen when invitees are already busy in the time slot for which a meeting is being created.
- Mac OS X v10.6: Printer and scanner software Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard includes software for many printer and scanner models. This software can be installed from the Snow Leopard Install DVD, and installed or updated by using Software Update (some models have software available through Software Update only). This article lists software provided for printers and scanners as of 15 March, 2010. To view the complete list of printers and scanners that are supplied with Snow Leopard Install DVD and by Software Update, see below or use your browser's Find feature to look for a specific name or model number. If you cannot find a driver for your specific model, check the list to see if a driver is available for a series of printers that may include your model. For example, a printer with the model number 5070 might use the driver for the "5000 Series." For more information about setting up and using printers in Snow Leopard, see this article. - Syncing contacts and calendars to iPod with iTunes for Windows iTunes can sync your contacts and calendars from Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express and contacts from Microsoft Address Book to any iPod with a display screen1 (Note: Outlook 2003 or later is required to sync contacts and calendars from Outlook). - iTunes for Windows Vista or Windows 7: Troubleshooting unexpected quits, freezes, or launch issues This article provides some general suggestions when trying to troubleshoot an issue where iTunes for Windows Vista or Windows 7 won't launch or unexpectedly quits or freezes. It may be useful to print this document before following the steps outlined below. - Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7 Learn how to cleanly uninstall iTunes, QuickTime, and other essential software components from your Windows Vista or Windows 7 PC; (for a Windows XP or Windows 2000 PC, refer to Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP).
- iTunes creates an empty library file in Windows Some file scanning software products that are not made by Apple, such as the Sony VAIO Entertainment Platform, may damage your iTunes library. If the library becomes damaged, iTunes may create a new, empty library. Although the library appears empty, the media files should still be in their original locations. By default, this would be the iTunes Media folder. - iTunes for Windows: Background processes installed on Windows XP, Vista, and 7 iTunes for Windows (XP, Vista, and 7) installs some processes that run in the background. Below is a brief explanation of what each process does.
- iTunes: May not display all options at low screen resolutions When opening iTunes 8.0.2 or later, some customers may notice a message stating "For best results with iTunes, use a screen resolution of at least 1024x768" as show below. This recommendation is made to ensure that all parts of the iTunes interface will be visible during use. When opening iTunes after connecting an iPod or iPhone for the first time or after a restore you may not be able to locate the "Done," "Continue," or "Accept" buttons as shown below. This is due to the screen resolution of your Mac or PC being too low.
- iTunes: Windows reports that "iTunesSetup.exe is not a valid Win32 application" When installing iTunes for Windows, the installation may not complete and Windows may display the following message: "iTunesSetup.exe is not a valid Win32 application."
- iTunes 9.0.3: Ringtones may not authorize to play in iTunes After installing iTunes 9.0.3, Ringtones may no longer authorize to play in iTunes.

- Advanced troubleshooting for Sync Services on Windows with Microsoft Outlook 2003 or 2007 When syncing contacts, calendars, or notes from Microsoft Outlook, there can be issues that prevent syncing from completing as expected. - iDVD 7.0: Burned DVD has interlacing, pixelation, or image quality issues You may discover that a DVD burned in iDVD has poor image quality, pixelation, or interlacing issues when you play it in full-screen mode on your HDTV or Apple monitor. - iPhone: Improve backup and restore times by reducing iPhone Camera Roll Pictures and screenshots taken with the iPhone are stored on the Camera Roll. When you sync or perform a restore, iTunes creates a backup the contents of your iPhone, including the Camera Roll. The more pictures or other multimedia files that are on the Camera Roll, the longer a backup or restore will take. Improve backup and restore times by regularly importing the contents of your Camera Roll, and then sync that content back to the iPhone.
